I really like photoshop, sai and illustrator. I’ve also seen some awesome things done with Corel Painter. There are a few things I do by hand as well. For those I just use a pencil and paper mostly but sometimes I’ll also use my brush tip inking pens. I absolutely fell in love with those things!
As for advice? hmm. It sucks to hear it but just keep practicing. Draw everyday if you can. I’ve been trying to use photo reference a lot while doing anatomy practice and with painting scenery. It helps a lot if you can see how something actually is and not how your mind chooses to perceive it. This way you can draw it correctly and then create a style of your own based on the correct structure of whatever it is that you’re trying to draw. I really love using http://artists.pixelovely.com/ for anatomy!
I hope that helps. ^^; If you have any more questions, I’ll be more than happy to answer as best I can.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
Sorry if I’m a bit late on answering you. I read your correction as well so no worries. :) The sketch is just a loose yet refined sketch and the color is a colored version of the image. Like this:
I hope that helps. :) I’ll be providing better examples soon. This was just something quick so I could make sure I answered you in time. Sorry for the delay!
Aww thank you so much! I really appreciate it. =^w^=
Phoenix Comicon this year was amaaaazing!! I had a lot of fun! (It was also the reason why I haven’t posted any drawings in a few days.) I got to hang out with some people I haven’t seen in a looong time and meet Manu Bennett! (which was awesome) I even got a few new figurines for my desk and Batman Odyssey, which I’ve been wanting to read for awhile now. If any of you went, let me know how your con was. :) If not, maybe you’ll join us next year!
Until next time!
